    Assoc. Prof. Ergenekon SAVRUN

    Brief Bio

    Assoc. Prof. Ergenekon SAVRUN, after completing his undergraduate and graduate studies at Girne American University, Department of Public Relations and International Relations, started to work as an academic at the Department of International Relations of the same university in 2008.

    After working in the university’s promotion and marketing departments as well as academics, he gave lectures in his field at the American University of Canterbury in England for 1.5 years.

    In 2012, Ergenekon SAVRUN returned to his native Turkey and graduated from Izmir Dokuz Eylul University with a PhD in History. After working in the leading Energy and Defense Industry companies of the country, he returned to the academy in 2016.

    In 2020, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor. SAVRUN has 5 books and dozens of national-international articles and articles. The titles of his books are as follows; “Turkey and Britain’s Cyprus Policies, Important Milestones in Turkish Political History: Important Political

    Relations with the Middle East and Europe, Cyprus, the Key to Asia Minor, The Mediterranean through the Eyes of the Turks, Cyprus: Political History, Military Strategies and Narratives.”

    Assoc. Prof. Dr. SAVRUN has also lectured as a tenured professor at Bahçeşehir Cyprus University, as a visiting professor in Bordeaux and Lyon, France, and Cordoba University, Spain, and was invited by NOVA University, Portugal, and gave PhD courses at Kayseri Erciyes University.

    His general areas of specialization are: “Mediterranean, Cyprus, Syria, Middle East, Balkans, Caucasus, Turkish-American Relations and Nationalism”.

    Ergenekon SAVRUN is currently a faculty member at the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Ufuk University.
