- A text similarity report is generated, and the editor reviews it.

Double-Blind Expert Review
- Automated matching suggests suitable reviewers. The editor verifies each suggestion and selects a minimum of two independent experts.
- Author and reviewer identities stay concealed from each other throughout.
- Each reviewer reads the full manuscript and writes their own assessment. Generative AI is never used to produce a review report.

Automated Integrity Audit

Review Model
Boston Research Journals operate a double-blind peer review process. Authors do not know the identity of their reviewers, and reviewers do not know the identity of the authors. Reviewer identities are held in confidence permanently and are not disclosed at any stage, including after publication.
How Reviewers Are Selected
Reviewers are selected for subject expertise relevant to the manuscript. Reviewers must declare any conflict of interest with the authors or their institutions and are recused where one exists.
Editorial Decision
Reviewers make recommendations. The final decision to accept, request revisions, or reject rests with the editor. Reviewer recommendations are advisory and are not binding on the editorial decision.
Use of Automated Tools
Boston Research Journals use automated tools to support integrity checking before and during review. These tools assist with similarity and plagiarism screening, reference validation, and formatting checks. All automated outputs are verified by editorial staff.
Reviewers and editors do not use generative AI to produce their assessments of a manuscript. Evaluation of research quality, methodology, and significance is carried out by human reviewers and editors.
Authors must disclose any use of generative AI in the preparation of their manuscript. AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy and integrity of their submission. Full details are in our AI & Automated Tools Policy.
