Policies

Fee Waiver & Reduced APC Policy

Reduced charges are applied automatically by region. The charge is due only after acceptance.

How Charges Work

Boston Research Journals charges an article processing charge (APC) only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication. Submission and peer review are free. The charge in effect on the date of acceptance is the charge that applies.

Reduced Pricing by Region

Pricing is location-aware. The applicable band is determined automatically from the submitting author’s country at the payment step. No application is needed. The amounts below are per accepted paper, in US dollars.

RegionStandard subjectsInterdisciplinary subjects
South Asia & Africa$160$120
Latin America & the Caribbean$190$160
All other regions$390$340

The full charge configurator, including subject and paper type, is on the Article Processing Charges page.

Corrections & Full Waivers

If the payment step detects the wrong country, or the submitting author is based in an eligible region but was offered the standard rate, contact support@bostonresearch.org before paying and the correct band will be applied.

Authors without access to funding may request a further reduction or a full waiver at the same address, before submitting their manuscript. Requests are reviewed case by case. Waiver decisions are made independently of editorial decisions and have no effect on peer review or acceptance.

Withdrawal

There is no charge for withdrawing a manuscript at any stage. See the Article Withdrawal Policy.
