Dr. Jude Toochukwu Orakwe
Rev. Dr. Jude Orakwe is a doctoral graduate of Indiana University Bloomington where he majored in Ethnomusicology in 2015. Previously, he had a master’s degree in Sacred Music with particular emphasis on Gregorian Chant (2008). He also had baccalaureate in Philosophy (1993) and Theology (1998) from the Pontifical Urbanian University, Rome. He also obtained bachelor’s degree and licentiate from the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music, Rome. Presently, he is a senior lecturer with the music department of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Anambra State as well as the chairman of the Onitsha Archdiocesan Liturgical Music Commission. He is the founder of George Handel Music Academy Odoakpu as well as the Queen of All Saints Music Academy FHE Onitsha, all being an after school forum for the integral formation of children and young people by way of the beauty and praxis of classical/sacred music.
