About Applied Mathematics

Applied Mathematics is one of the subject areas published in the Boston Research Journal of Mathematics & Statistics. It covers the use of mathematical methods to address concrete problems in science, engineering, and industry, including mathematical modelling and simulation, numerical analysis, applied partial differential equations, fluid dynamics, control theory, and mathematical biology. The area also encompasses optimisation and operations research, financial mathematics, dynamical systems, wave propagation, perturbation methods, and the calculus of variations.

Papers that derive, analyse, or validate mathematical frameworks motivated by physical, biological, economic, or engineering phenomena are welcome here.
