The Boston Research Journal of Physical & Life Sciences advances understanding of the natural world through original research in physics, astronomy, chemistry and chemical engineering, biology, agriculture, food science, and earth, marine and environmental sciences. We welcome theoretical, experimental and applied studies, including work that connects disciplines or develops methods with relevance to research and practice. Alongside original research articles, the journal considers reviews, case studies and technical reports. Through peer review and open access publication, we aim to make carefully conducted research available to scientists, educators and practitioners worldwide, with an emphasis on clear methods, sound analysis and a meaningful contribution to knowledge.

Publishing in the Boston Research Journal of Physical & Life Sciences costs between 340 and 390 US dollars, set by subject and paper type. Submission itself is free, and nothing is billed unless your paper is accepted. Authors from lower-income countries receive an automatic regional reduction, and the Fee Waiver and Reduced APC Policy explains when the charge can be waived entirely.
Yes. Every submission goes through double-blind peer review, so reviewers never see the authors' identities and authors never learn who reviewed their work. You receive the reviewers' comments together with the editorial decision, and the full process is described on the peer review process page.
The journal spans the natural sciences: chemistry and chemical engineering, agriculture and food sciences, biology and life sciences, physics and astronomy, and earth, marine and environmental science. Both theoretical and experimental studies are welcome, including interdisciplinary work that crosses these fields. The aims and scope page lists the topics within each area.
BRJPLS accepts original research papers as its core article type, alongside review papers, case studies, and technical reports. Whatever the format, the work must be authentic and previously unpublished, and prepared according to the author guidelines before submission.
Both. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license, with copyright staying with the authors. That makes every article free for anyone to read from the day it appears, with no subscription and no registration, and free to share or build on with credit to the original publication.
